Back In Action

I just realized that I have a post up that says I’m down for repairs, but still I did a show last week so it’s time I update my overall status here from “down for repair” to “making it work with whatever gear I can get my hands on”.

This post is for all the DJ’s out there that use Mp3′s as part of their act and how you can make your life easier if you’re willing to take a slight dive into some unix scripting.
So I guess it’s the Christmas Season upon us and people all over are in this giving mode, not sure what’s up with that. Either way, one of my favorite producers, Paul Prato was kind enough to just post this up on his facebook so I figured I’d reciprocate the whole sharing vibe and put it up here for everyone to listen and download.

Wonderful Christmas Time - Prato Rerub (0)Here’s a nice remix of Dub FX‘s “Made” by Dimitar Naydenov. If you dont’ know who Dub FX is, I’m kind of going to have to dismiss you as totally having the blinders up, and if that’s the case you should probably quickly follow him on Facebook and check out his Youtube channel. Just click on the picture and the video should start playing…
So it’s the birthday of one of my favorite producers, Mesmer and he’s being as nice as to give away this free tune today. Grab it while it’s available!

If you know anything about good electronic music, then you must know AMB. With releases such as “Rust” on one of my favorite record labels Chi Recordings, he’s definitely ensured I’ll always play his tracks. What’s even better is that he just put up two free tracks on his website, and I’m posting them here too to make sure the word gets out. Enjoy!
I’ve always liked taking pictures, but I never really thought I was particularly good at it, and I still think the same of me. The only difference nowadays is that with a few handy apps and an OK eye for objects, you can take some pretty decent pictures (cheat). With the invention of the iPhone, and the sheer endless amount of apps available for it, Instagram stood out for me from the very beginning because it is a social network designed around one basic thing: taking pictures and posting them, and having friends in your network and outside of it, comment on it.
Below is a collection of some of the pictures I’ve posted on Instagram. If you want to follow me there my nickname is….wait for it….”Beatmassa”.
