Using APC40 With Traktor Pro
If you’re like me, then you’re constantly breaking gear, I’ve stopped getting upset about it and simply started to adapt to whatever scenarios I’m presented with. Currently, my VCI-300 that I usually use in conjunction with Serato Itch has a broken fader, so I’ve been forced to borrow my roommate’s new controller, however it’s a Reloop Jockey 3 LE, is made for Traktor Pro and is a completely different animal than what I’m used to. Since my VCI-300 is still broken, I figured why not look up whether there are any mappings for the APC40 made for Traktor, and whaddaya know!? some pro already put together the whole sha-bang and all you have to do is download the mapping file and import it in the Controller Mapping part of the the software.
The website where I found all these cool mapping files is called Traktor Bible. They have several mappings available, but the one I liked the best was this one. It covers just about any major function you think of, and the authors also provide a graphic where the button assignment is shown clearly.
